"Blogs off the Beaten Path"
Over at Daily Kos, new guest poster DavidNYC has kicked off his tenure with a terrific thread [Ed.: "thread"? does anyone call them that anymore?], asking people which blogs they look at regularly other than "the titans of the blogosphere: Atrios, Josh Marshall, Kevin Drum, and so on":
...all of us here probably know a few hidden gems - we have some blogs in our bookmarks that don't get a lot of attention, but probably should. So every couple of weeks or so, I'd like to showcase one or two blogs that are, as I say, somewhat off the beaten path. And I'd like to solicit your suggestions for which blogs I ought to check out. Since this is a political site, I'm primarily interested in other blogs which also have a political bent, but I take a pretty broad view of what the means.I noticed that at least one person nominated his/her own site. I don't, or perhaps I should say don't yet, have the requisite [DIVERSITY ALERT ON] chutzpah or cojones [DIVERSITY ALERT OFF] to do so. But my own loosely categorized list of sites which I visit at least occasionally is at the left -- including, yes, some non-titans. The list is expanded pretty often, and I suspect I'll need to change the list template's style soon in order to include them all without forcing you to scroll more than four screens to read it. But I recommend them all.

Yeah, I tend to think that hawking one's own blog on DKos is poor form. Thought so in that forum as well.
