Our President-Philosopher

From the Associated Press, via Yahoo, W reasserts his righteousness -- this time in re Social Security:
"I understand there are many who say, 'Bush is wrong,'" he said. "I assume I'm right. It's exciting to be part of stimulating a debate of such significance," he went on. "It really is the philosophical argument of the age."
I'm not sure if the referent of the "it" in that last sentence is the lunatic debate over Social Security, or the difference of opinion over his fitness for the job. In either case, the remark doesn't reflect well on his understanding of philosophy -- or, for that matter, his understanding of the age.
