More Words of Outrage and Optimism
Pharyngula goes on a brief, satisfying rant about winger responses to the Cindy Sheehan saga:
By the way, I (as well as many others who've blogged on Ms. Sheehan, presumably) recently received an email from one "J. Marcus Xavier, author of VerySmallDoses.com":
A lot of the complaints by the wingers seem to be that she's a "tool of the anti-war left". How does that work? Did Michael Moore and his French-Communist allies kidnap a loyal, pro-Bush woman and then apply esoteric torture and brain-washing techniques to completely reverse her natural, organic instincts (which be to adore with patriotic fervor the man who started this war that killed her son, of course), and then against her will and in opposition to her inclinations use her as a figurehead in a cause she opposes? That's the impression these clowns leave.Just so.
By the way, I (as well as many others who've blogged on Ms. Sheehan, presumably) recently received an email from one "J. Marcus Xavier, author of VerySmallDoses.com":
Given all of the discussion about Cindy Sheehan these past few days, I recently decided to sit down and research an extensive bipartisan timeline of events concerning this woman, since her son was killed in Iraq in April. The timeline is designed to serve as a reference for bloggers writing about the Cindy Sheehan issue, and I update it as I discover (or am informed of) events I might not have originally mentioned. If you have any comments or additional information you feel I should add to the timeline, please let me know.Xavier describes himself as a "center-right conservative" or "independent-moderate conservative." Don't let the "conservative" label put you off, though; the so-called media timeline is pretty good, and he promises to keep it up-to-date.
