Helping New Orleans Online
There's not much I can say about the Hurricane Katrina that you haven't already said or thought yourself. "Tragedy" is too lightweight a term for what has happened in New Orleans and environs, especially... Remember the despair everyone felt regarding 9/11, just thinking about the victims, the public symbols (WTC, Pentagon), what the future would hold? This new calamity goes so far beyond that one in scope and likely long-term effects -- almost to the point that I wonder how the city can ever be rebuilt.
