All Ears

From the Reuters account of the meeting -- W, Frist, Reid, Specter, and Leahy in attendance -- to discuss a successor to Sandra Day O'Connor:
[White House mouthpiece Scott McClellan] said Bush listened to names suggested by the senators.

"The president was very much in a listening mode," he said.
Let us pray he was listening to more than names.
